Stredna odborna skola vinarsko-ovocinarska Modra

      The Secondary Vocational School of Viticulture and Fruit Growing (SOŠVO) in Modra, was founded in 1884 in Bratislava. In 1922, the school moved to Modra, the largest wine-producing town in Slovakia. From the beginning, the school trained new workers in wine, viticulture and fruit growing. Throughout its existence, student training has focused on viticulture, fruit growing and agrotourism. Today, SOŠVO offers education and training in the following fields of study: winemaking, sommelier, business and agritourism.
     The professional training of students contains the following sections:
1. Theoretical teaching section.
2. The practical training section with the integral technology of wine in the winery and school vineyards.
3. Section of extracurricular education - boarding schools.
    Today there are 105 students and 60 employees working at SOŠVO.
